Monroviawatta Garbage Dumping Site
The Solid Waste Management Centre at Monroviawatta, Rajgama was established in the year 2012 for the management of waste of 7 local government authorities of the Galle District. The Centre was constructed with the provisions of the Piliisaru National Waste Management Project of the Central Environmental Authority and the provisions of the Southern Provincial Council and at the inception 7 local government authorities, the Central Environmental Authority and the Department of Local Government on behalf of the Southern Provincial Council entered into an agreement.
