SW Map App mobile phone application was introduced to local government authorities in the year 2020. This app is being used for demarcating the boundaries of the area of the local government authority and entering data thereof to the information system. Subsequent to a training programme, these activities are being carried out in several local government authorities.

The use of this software is essential for utilizing assets with maximum effectiveness for operational activities, proper maintenance and upgrading of assets as well as for disposal of assets on the basis of cost management. This software was introduced to local government bodies in the year 2020.

Information is made available through the webpage of each local government authority in terms of the Right to Information Act. The webpage presents the annual plan of the local government authority, provides all information of interest to the public and facilitates access to information via the Internet.

Introducing front office methods under the e-Pura Neguma programme

Implemented for the convenience of clients of local government authorities, this service facilitates the computerization of daily reports required by the local government authorities. Complaint management, application management, issuance of receipts for all income, rates management and library management are handled through this system.
